Windows 95/ NT
To start the NetResults search engine simply double click on the NetResults.bat file located in the netresults folder (a folder in the root of the CD). Please note, the first time you double click on the NetResults.bat you will be asked to enter the default temp directory (if you choose the default c:\temp you will not be asked to enter the directory name again). Thereafter double clicking on this file will simply start the NetResults search engine. Sun Solaris To start the NetResults search engine RUN the netresults.sh shell script located in the netresults folder (a folder in the root of the CD). Please note, the first time you run netresults.sh shell script you will be asked to enter the default temp directory. Thereafter it will simply start the NetResults search engine. Macintosh To enable searching on your Macintosh, you are required to install the MRJ and the NetResults Search engine. Once you have installed the MRJ you simply need to copy the NRSetup.hqx to your desktop into a folder of your choice and then double click on the file to uncompress the file then double click to create a NetResults Start Icon on the desktop, which can then be used the next time to start the search service. PLEASE make sure that you have a current MRJ installed, the most recent MRJ is available free of charge on the Apple Web Site (http://applejava.apple.com). |
